COUNSELING
Pastoral Counseling
Pastoral counseling is for individuals and couples who desire to explore inner and relational disruption. It focuses on healing through an integrative approach. I offer spiritual soul care centered on the realities of the gospel and a trauma-informed understanding of the brain and nervous system.
In our time together we can explore areas such as inner and relationship pain, crisis, anxiety, loss, stuck-ness, and various forms of escapism (porn, substance use, doom scrolling, etc.). My philosophy is that restoration and healing from inner fragmentation and broken relationships can be found in a non-shaming, safe, confidential, and honest counseling relationship rooted in grace.
Whether you would consider your faith strong, weak, lost, or non-existent, it is truly an honor to walk with you in a way that honors your spirituality and physical and emotional realities. I desire to help people care for their souls and life disruption without spiritually bypassing real pain, trauma, or suffering.
Pastoral counseling is offered in-person and through telehealth locally and across state lines.
Pastoral counseling is not clinical mental health treatment and does not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders.
Clinical counseling is available to residents of Alabama in person or through tele-health, and under the supervision of Brandon Gantt, Deep Roots Counseling.
Clinical Counseling
I believe healing takes place in the context of safe and healthy relationships. My counseling approach is person-centered, attachment-focused, and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care.
Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe environment where they can better understand themselves, their experiences, and the patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
